In this movie, there are many types of fairies.garden fairies, fast-flying fairies, light faires, etc. Tinkerbell learns that not everyone respects the art of being a tinker fairy, so she decides she doesn't want to be a tinker anymore. She tries to be something she's not and it ends up in disaster. At the end of the movie, Tinkerbell learns that embracing who you are is important and she ends up saving the day with her tinker skills. It's a movie about loving and believing in yourself, no matter what anyone else thinks. Disney doesn't make toys of him, even though he's in all of the movies. I ended up buying this one: It has worked perfectly. My daughter loves it and Tinkerbell can ride him.They generally don't get sarcasm. And the snippy quality is something they are learning from the video rather than a genuine behavior of a toddler.

Only because my daughter is 3 and will face children who have seen these kinds of movies and model the behaviors (also possible from modeling actual teenagers), I figured it was okay. Aside from the slightly odd teenager qualities of the fairies, it's a Tinker Bell movie filled with fairies! It's fun. And I like that Tinker Bell is so feminine and an engineer too. And my daughter likes it a lot. Not obsessed. But she likes it. And she'd want to see more Tinker Bell movies, I think.Full of color and light and fun, an uplifting message, gorgeous animation, and a wonderfully imaginative take on the fairies' world, I enjoyed this movie so much I went to work the next day and told everyone about it. If you want to recapture that feeling of innocence, joy, and imagination that you used to have as a kid watching the Wonderful World of Disney or seeing the Disney cartoon movies for the first time, this is the way to go. A sweet, charming, cheerful movie, with great characters that I'll be happy to see again. And I'll get to, since there are apparently a couple of sequels coming out. I sincerely hope they hold up to this standard. By the way, I watched my copy in 3D with a pair of TV Eyes 3-D glasses I found online. This movie looks fantastic in 3D, almost like it was made for it. That may be responsible for part of my enthusiasm. I definitely suggest watching it in 3D if you have the chance. It's amazing. I've noticed Disney has finally started to go back to it's roots, making more imaginative, wonderful, and heartwarming stories again (instead of just refilming old movies) if this video is an example of the way they're headed, then I'm back on the train for the ride. This may be about an old character, but it's a fresh new movie in it's own right. If I'd never heard of Tinker Bell I'd still think it was excellent entertainment.The reason for the four stars is that the Blue Ray did not play. It kept skipping terribly.

I didn't return it since it also included a DVD which worked fine. Quality control messed up on this one.I am a serious DVD collector with 2,000 DVDs. The color, the graphics are simply dazzling. I cannot even watch the old Disney classics anymore because they look so stone age compared to the animated DVDs that are being put out now. I must mention that I also have a Sony upconvert DVD player as well that I use. It has made all the difference in the world. I do not have a Blu-Ray player yet because they are over-priced and they have their problems still. They play the regular DVDs at a higher quality level (not quite Blu-Ray) but it still looks nice. This is sure to be a true Disney Classic!The animation is smooth and clean and unlike any other movies that have a distinctive 'scary bad guy', the tinkerbell movies do not, making a safe movie for young children. My 4 year old daughter is absolutely in love with the fairies and pretends to be in hiding from the humans just like in the films, and searches trees for fairy doors and pixie hollow. Of the two films in this boxset, we favour the 'Tinkerbell' film slightly more as it gives you the history of how she comes to be. But considering how expensive all the Disney films are, despite how old some of them are, this set is value for money. We now have 4 of the tinkerbell films and my daughter will happily watch them end to end, completely captivated, as am I, time and time again!!I bought it for my 4 and a half year old son for Christmas and he asks to watch it every day. Like many small boys he loves cars and trains and lions but also 'pretty', 'sparkly' things. I'm sure most people would buy this for their daughters but I really recommend it for sons too. Later that night, Captain Hook's first mate, Mr. Smee, kidnaps Tink and takes her to Hook's ship where the captain attempts to toy with Tink's emotions to get her to reveal Peter's hideout. He tells her the pirates are planning on shanghaiing Wendy, and the plot makes Tink more than happy as, with Wendy out of the way, she and Peter can be together again. She points the way to the hideout on the map, but before she completes this, she forces Hook to promise not to lay one single finger or a hook on Peter Pan. Hook agrees, trapping her in a lantern once she reveals the location.Wendy convinces the boys to refuse the offer, in high hopes that Pan will save them. The bomb begins to ring rapidly, ready to explode, but Tink takes it away from Peter and sacrifices herself.Peter restores her life by telling her just how much she means to him. With Tink saved, Peter heads to the Jolly Roger to rescue his friends. A battle occurs, ending with Hook fleeing for his life from the crocodile who ate his left hand and now wants the rest of the captain. With Hook defeated, Peter decides to escort Wendy home, having Tink sprinkle fairy dust all over Hook's ship so it turns gold and flies.When they arrive, Hook claims to have his dearest Wendy held captive. Peter rushes down to save her and Tink follows close behind. When Pan seems to have finally met his end, he emerges from the water and Tink uses her pixie dust to lift the octopus and land him on Hook's ship. Peter and Tink then leave the scene to free the prisoner. Instead of Wendy, however, they find her daughter Jane. Tink takes an immediate disliking toward her, similar to her disliking of Wendy in the first film.She attempts to build a raft to return home, but Pan knows that the only way to leave Never Land is to fly. Jane tricks the boys into playing treasure hunt, but after bonding with them, she changes her mind and discards the whistle she was meant to use to summon Hook once she found the treasure. Tootles the Lost Boy finds the whistle and innocently blows it, summoning Hook and his crew. Peter and the others are captured and Jane rushes back to Hangman's Tree to find Tinker Bell. It's too late, however, and Tinker Bell's bright light of life has expired. Jane mourns the death of the tinker fairy and her belief in fairies begins to arise. Tink is revived and the duo heads to the Jolly Roger to face Hook.Tink distracts Hook and Smee while Jane frees the Lost Boys and battle the pirates. Tink manages to knock Hook unconscious so Jane can try to retrieve the key. Hook awakens and attempts to kill Jane. Tink sprinkles pixie dust on her and she is able to escape through flight. Not only that, but she is also able to free Peter. Hook is defeated and Peter escorts Jane home. While there, Peter and Tink - who, after so many years, has finally put her jealousy and resentment of Wendy aside - have a brief but heartwarming reunion with the full-grown Wendy, whom Tink uses her fairy dust to allow Wendy to magically levitate one last time with Peter's permission.
